“Your Holiness, brother archpriests, venerable fathers, monks and nuns, dear brothers and sisters, I have been given a pledge of faith that the archbishop, as the leader of the liturgical assembly, leading the community of the Body of Christ, primarily serves the unity of the Church. As the one through whom the gifts of the Holy Spirit are distributed to the Eucharistic community, it is his to gather, build and preserve the Church”.
