Our Mission

OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO THE HOLY HILANDAR MONASTERY, as a unique treasure of spirituality, culture, art, and history that has been continuously alive for more than eight centuries.

Our Goal

THE GOAL OF OUR FOUNDATION IS TO PRESENT THE INVALUABLE HERITAGE OF HILANDAR and establish a strong connection with people in the United States of America and around the world, who want to know more about Hilandar, on a personal path of spiritual growth and additional education.

Management

THE FOUNDATION IS PERSONALLY MANAGED BY THE ABBOT OF THE HOLY MONASTERY OF HILANDAR, THE MOST REVEREND ARCHIMANDRIT METODIJE (MARKOVICH), as the Sole Member of the organization and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The Preserve Hilandar Foundation USA is a Delaware Non-Stock Corporation, founded by the Holy Monastery of Hilandar on Mount Athos, Greece.

The Foundation has been recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service as eligible to receive tax deductible charitable contributions as a tax-exempt not-for-profit public charity, as described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. For reference, our Employer Identification Number (EIN) is 85-2962446.

Manifesto

Let’s believe, let’s be similar to the centuries-old guardians of Hilandar, guardians of the treasury of spirituality, literacy, culture, art, the statehood of the Serbian people, and the historical support of our Church.

Hilandar was handed down to us more than eight centuries ago from the hands of Venerable Simeon Mirotočivi and Saint Sava of Serbia. As a priceless gift to carry in our hearts wherever we are. It was given to us so that we could give it to the generations to come. To preserve, restore and improve it.

Hilandar is constantly alive. Let’s act in harmony with his measure of perfection, calmness, and constancy. He is a role model and hope that we can do better and more.
