Pavlina Radovanović’s album ‘Child of Metohija’ under the patronage of Hilandar
With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop and Metropolitan of Raška and Prizren Teodosije, and with the support of the Holy Monastery of Hilandar, the first music album by Pavlina Radovanović, a young artist from Kosovo and Metohija, has been released.
The album is titled “Child of Metohija” and consists of nine songs. Eight of them are entirely new. Songwriters Slobodan and Darko Stanković from Kosovo and Metohija wrote the lyrics and music. The music producer and arranger is David Pavlović. Many musicians from the country and abroad participated in this music project.
The non-profit production house “Unison” released the album. This production house was founded with the blessing of Hilandar to preserve and present spiritual, traditional, and artistic music.
Pavlina had her first solo performance at the Gračanica Monastery in 2018 and her first solo concert in March 2022 at The Russian House in Belgrade. One of her many significant performances was at the Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment stage in 2023. She has performed at numerous concerts in the country and abroad. Through her work, she contributes to promoting the musical heritage of Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the spiritual and national values of the Serbian people.
Her public activities are primarily fulfilled by humanitarian work. She has participated in numerous charitable events and contributed to fundraising donations for the restoration of Serbian shrines and for helping children and vulnerable families in Kosovo and Metohija. For her special merits and success in representing Serbia in the field of musical art, she received the “Order of Karađorđe’s Star of the Third Degree,” but also many other awards and recognitions.
Pavlina Radovanović has been a long-time scholarship holder of the Holy Monastery of Hilandar. At the beginning of this school year, she moved from her native Orahovac to Belgrade to continue her education at the “Mokranjac” Music School.
