Abbot Methodius to Visit the Diocese of New Gračanica and Midwestern America on October 18–19

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Longin of New Gračanica–Chicago and Metropolitan of Midwestern America, the Very Reverend Archimandrite Methodius, the Abbot of the Hilandar Monastery, will visit the United States on October 18 and 19, 2025.

On Saturday, October 18, Abbot Methodius will visit New Gračanica Monastery, where he will serve Vespers and the Akathist to the Most Holy ‘Three-handed’ Theotokos. The service will begin at 5:00 PM.

That same evening, in the Church of St. Basil of Ostrog (Lake Forest II), a spiritual talk with Abbot Methodius will take place, beginning at 7:00 PM.

On Sunday, October 19, in the Church of St. Sava (St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 9191 Mississippi Street, Merrillville, IN 46410), Abbot Methodius will participate in the Divine Hierarchical Liturgy and bring a faithful copy of the icon of the Most Holy ‘Three-handed’ Theotokos, which will remain permanently in this church.

The Liturgy will begin at 10:00 AM.
