Celebration of Christmas at Hilandar Monastery

In the Holy Imperial Serbian Lavra of Hilandar Monastery, the Feast of the Nativity of Christ was solemnly and prayerfully celebrated.

The service in Hilandar began with an all-night vigil and concluded with the Divine Liturgy, presided over by the Very Reverend Archimandrite Methodius.

Attending the celebration of the Feast were Mr. Dragan Kulić, President of the Municipality of Medveđa, and Mr. Nebojša Arsić, Director of the Special Rehabilitation Hospital ‘Geyser’ in Sijarinska Banja, who, through their work and dedication, have supported the ‘Hilandar Village’ in Sijarinska Banja.

The ‘Hilandar Village’ is a complex of facilities primarily intended for the collective accommodation of children and youth during organized camps, summer schools, and similar events.

Numerous pilgrims from Serbia and abroad shared in the spiritual joy of celebrating the Feast of the Nativity of Christ with the Hilandar brethren. Following the Divine Liturgy, a festive meal was served.
